How Files2AI Works
Files2AI converts supported files into AI-ready text directly in your browser workflow.
1. Getting Started
- Upload one or more supported files using drag and drop or file picker.
- Review extraction and formatting options in the options panel.
- Run conversion and inspect output in the results area.
- Copy output or export the generated content for downstream AI use.
2. Supported Inputs
Files2AI supports common document, spreadsheet, presentation, text, and data formats. The app validates unsupported extensions at upload time.
3. Output and Formatting
Output can be generated in multiple styles for prompting, review, and data workflows. Use post-processing options to normalize spacing, preserve structure, and control final formatting.
4. Privacy and Security
Core processing is privacy-first. Files are handled in-browser for supported conversion flows and are not uploaded as raw content for standard extraction behavior.
5. Plans and Limits
Feature limits vary by plan. Free usage is capped, while paid tiers provide higher limits and expanded workflow capacity for larger sessions.
6. Troubleshooting
- If upload is rejected, verify file type and extension are supported.
- If output is empty or partial, retry with simplified formatting options enabled.
- If processing slows, reduce batch size and run smaller groups of files.
- Refresh the page if browser memory is constrained during very large conversions.
